Part 3: Warning: Leaving Your Comfort Zone
by: Diane Carter

You have one of the most remarkable abilities known to man. You have the power to direct the course of your life.
Warning: Leaving Your Comfort Zone

Change pushes us out of our comfort zone. Change requires active thinking putting us on a deliberate path to personal development. You must agree that you need change, you must want to change, and you must have an inner knowing that you can change. Change begins with you. Change begins with the help of a personal Life Coach.

Change can be seen as for better or worse. Change requires an adjustment period that varies from person to person. Some people see change as uncomfortable. Those seeing it as uncomfortable or painful will want to revert to their old style or habits of doing things to eliminate the pain. Everything we do as humans is an attempt to change the way we feel. We run from pain into the arms of pleasure. Even when all the paths available lead to pain we chose the least painful path.

You know change is needed when all of your best practices are no longer working. Change makes you take responsibility for your own life. Change is made one step at a time, one victory at a time, the choice is yours. You can do it, you can make it!

Here are 10 thoughts and a bonus to consider when making changes.

1. Change pushes you to do your personal best. 2. Change isn't for the faint of heart. 3. Change will cause us to churn or to learn. 4. Change is measured by its impact on all that are connected to it. 5. Change is made when you are dissatisfied with where you are. 6. Change is only a waste to those who didn't learn from it. 7. Change happens in our heart before it is proclaimed by our work. 8. Change can flow smoothly or skip like a rock, depending on our resistance to it. If you can change before you have to change, there will be less pain. 9. Change uses the power invested in the unseen to reinvent what is seen. 10. Change is like driving in a fog - you can't see very far, but you can make the trip knowing what great joy awaits you.

BONUS 11. Change is just part of growing up.
