Automate tasks of link swapping
by: Joel De Gan

Just a small article displaying how to use a link swapping PHP script which can help increase your google pagerank and allow visitors to link to you.
Today the definitive search engine is without a doubt Google (google.com). Many researchers have been working hard on determining how Google places links and determines placement. One of the ways that all have found is "inbound" links, or links pointing towards your website. Many people have started requesting links from other websites in order to bring up their Google pagerank value, and some even have resorted to drastic measures in attempts to raise their pagerank.

I have found that oftentimes people will only link you for a short time, expecting you to not check and so therefore these links are not worth your time. In an attempt to alleviate this I worked on a system to automatically allow link exchanges and then rank each user based on the number of "inbound" links they send, thus ensuring a decent placement on their site, if they want one on mine. The best part of this is that I never have to touch it. If you run a website and can use PHP and MySQL I would highly suggest you look into setting up an automated system to do this. You can find the basic framework of scripts on my website (directly to the download http://listbid.com/affil/?add=download).

Set up is simple and maintenance is minimal, the top three referring sites are always listed in bold and the remainder are randomly chosen from the pool of available links which have been submitted.

These scripts are not for creating linkfarms (which can hurt your pagerank and get you banned) they are simply there to automate the task of your visitors linking to you and you linking back to them.
